This is my response to the comments I recieved on my
In Light of Both Conventions entry and the thought thats since I haven't voted before, my opinions are somehow void and should be discarded. It was brought up multiple times and I started to respond in the comment section, but I got going and decided to just make a formal blog response to them. Beyond this point is the comment that actually made me respond, and my response...

Thou Shall Not Vote, Thou Shall Not Have Opinion?!
In Light of the Both Conventions
I'm not political by any means, I don't vote, mainly because I don't see a point. The US is losing all credibility and respect, even within the country. I've always been against people being those flag waving, "We are the best Nation on the Earth" people. They are dumb, and if you are one of those people...you are dumb. There is no if ands or buts about it. The best I can come up with for our country is, we are what we are, we do some things better than some countries and we do some things worse. Blind patriotism is as bad as blind hate. Most of the people who say that shit haven't stepped foot in another country, besides maybe Mexico.
UFC vs Affliction: The Aftermath Pt. 1
All in all I was very pleased with my mass MMA weekend, and the two top pound for pound fighters in the world both made a case for being number one. But the real question is, will Affliction live to see another day? Everyone knows they dropped a pretty penny making this card happen. So who won the battle in what could be a war later on down the road for lead promoter in the fast rising sport of MMA? Well that might be an overstatement seeing as Affliction has one decent show under their belt and the UFC puts on 12 or more solid shows a year...
Worth a Watch? - Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog
Joss Whedon, creator of shows such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, and my personal favorite Firefly, opted to actually be productive during the writers strike and start what he is hoping is a new trend in mainstream media. As I am personally a huge Joss Whedon fan, I am definitely looking forward to anything of his while I await his new pilot for Dollhouse. Though the show needs a different name in my humble opinion, I think it is going to be just what I need to fulfill my sci-fi jonesing.
Best of 08' : The Halfway Point Edition v. 2
Since Corey laid the challenge down in his version of the same post, I figured I’d answer with my own. Even though Corey and I have similar music taste we still have a different look to our top 5’s. I’ll set this up pretty similarly to him, mainly because I’m too lazy to come up with my own setup (look I even stole his image!). Then there is the off chance that Corey will see it, know I copied, and ridicule me, which is always fun. Ok no more random blather just to fill in the space on the front page, onto the picks.
Euro Cup 2008 Continued
We are down to the semi finals and only two of my original top five are still standing. The quarterfinals were a bit rocky for me, and I’m sure a lot of other people. Even so, I really enjoyed them. Most of the games were nail biters and some were just plain crazy at the end. The Turkey/Croatia game was just unreal. With all the games played the Semi Finals look like this.
Germany vs. Turkey
Spain vs. Russia
These are fairly interesting matchups. There are clearly two underdogs in Turkey and Russia, but I’d hardly count either of them out. Lets give a little look at how each team got here and my prediction / assessment of the match ups.
UFC vs Affliction: July 19th - Part 2
They've been trying to piece UFC Fight Night 14 together over the last few weeks. Thus far I haven't seen many matches on there that actually intrigue me enough to watch it over Affliction: Banned. However, I'm what the industry considers a "hardcore" fan as opposed to a "casual" fan. I'm pretty sure they are trying to keep casual MMA fans from tuning into the PPV broadcast for Affliction. It seems to me that they could have found a better headliner for this than Anderson Silva. Not that I don't love Silva, but he hasn't seemed to be as big of a draw as some of the other champions.
Ever Wonder What People in Other Countries Complain About?
While doing my rounds on my normal forums and such, I came across a thread where people actually complain about their own country as opposed to bashing other peoples countries. The site is called Team Liquid and it's members are mostly Starcraft players and other various online games. I've been a member of the forum for well over 4 years myself. So what do gamers dislike about their countries? Well here are a few good ones that I found while reading...
