Pissy Frenchmen Vow to Ban Happy Hour

Some people are trying to get 'Happy Hours' banned in France. The Guardian wrote about it today, saying that this is a reaction to increased teen drinking. In France, like most of Europe, it's legal for 16 year old to buy beer and wine. In France, like the rest of the world, bars have happy hours to draw folks in early and make a little more cash. Supposedly in France this has lead to, "an increase in alcohol consumption among young people, and in particular an increase in the kinds of behaviour that lead to drunkenness." The kinds of behaviour that results in drunkenness? What, like drinking? Or maybe just being French? I'm all for banning activities that will result in Francofication. Perhaps the French should ban the smoking of cigarettes, the wearing of berets or surrendering to Germans.
