The Faint [1] have posted a track from their forthcoming new album Fasciination which will be out later this summer. The new track, The Geeks were Right, is up now on the band's myspace page. If you've heard The Faint before then you know pretty much what to expect. This new track isn't anything revolutionary from the band, it is in keeping with their pop/techno/dance style. That isn't to say the new track isn't worth listening to, it's quite good. If you've enjoyed Danse Macabre and Wet From Birth then you'll like this new track. The Geeks Were Right has a nice groove and reminds me of Take Me to the Hospital but a little more upbeat. I was hoping for a little more evolution from The Faint since they haven't released an album in four full years. It's still early though and this is just a glimpse of what Fasciination will be. I'm still looking forward to it's release.
